Week Eleven and Twelve
We accomplished a lot over the course of these two weeks. Six tunes are up and running and I think we have three vocals that will make the final cut! Last week we recorded rhodes, banjo. I heard Side A of Harry Nilsson’s “The Point” for the first time… absolutely wonderful concept and music (especially lovedĀ Me and My Arrow). I made dinner one night: rice pasta with garlic, peppercorn pepper, parm cheese and olive oil and spinach salad with sunflower seeds and blueberries on the side. We ate outside. It was a gorgeous evening.
This Monday was a great vocal day. The melodies were warm and round on my chords… I love these days.
On Tuesday when I got to the studio, the Candy Fairy (thanks Dave) left me Skittles, M&M’s and Reese’s Pieces because I did well the night previously!! I ate nearly all of it – and ended up with a sugar hangover the next day. Even with a tummy ache and sugar anxiety we came up with a great part forĀ NB.
Today Justin is in the studio laying down some electric guitar and upright bass parts so I cannot wait to hear what he comes up with.
