Gonna Kick February in the Ass
February has always been my most dreadful month. With its endless gray skies, Valentine’s Day, and hypnotic monotony its a cruel trick that it is the shortest month of the year but feels the longest. At least when the snow falls, it adds a surreal lightness. Lets hope the warming does not steal this little bit of comfort. Groundhog Day and Pancake Tuesday are cool February features however.
This year I am going to embrace the urge to hibernate.
No shows are booked this month. I am renting some good mics, borrowing a space heater and taking refuge in the dark blue room down the hall.
When I come out of hiding sometime in March, hopefully I will have solidified the bonds with my songs. Maybe I will even forge some new ones with some of the strangers in my ears.
