Day Ten and Day Eleven

Day Ten and Eleven

We spent the last couple of days doing several things. Yesterday I attempted to record All You Want Is A Whole World To Love only to find that it is not quite ready yet. This weekend I am going to clean up the lyrics and their phrasing so maybe we can try again next week before Dave is off to Montreal to play the Jazz Festival. So, we took advantage of the unexpected time we ended up with and listened to some music. If you remember, Dave blew my mind last night when he introduced me to Bobbie Gentry. Well… he did it again last night. The Zombies!!!!! Why has no one tied me to a chair and played Odessey and Oracle for me before! I am floored. Then thinking no way it could get better, Dave threw on Procession and Father to Son from the album Queen II. Man!! Another gem I have not held. I am embarrassed to admit that I have never heard a Queen “album” only the Greatest Hits. If you have not heard either one of these albums, you must check them out. I am going to seek them out right after I am done writing this entry.

Today was a strange day. I was in the barn from 10-1pm. Dave and I cleaned up a bit of the Astrocops vocal and bounced Flow n’ Flow so I can give a copy to the people I would like to have playing on the final version. Dave’s dog Cricket started to go cuckoo around 12:30. Cricket is such a wicked dog by the way. But as Dave described it, when a storm rolls in Cricket thinks it is Armageddon. Both Dave and I had to leave for 1pm and when that time came, the rain was pouring! Summer storms are the best. The sky looks so bizarre when it is heavy with charcoal clouds and popsicle orange patches.

Tomorrow is going to be a lot of fun. Dave and I are making aliens! (you will understand in a few months)

Good Night

ps: RestInPeace MJ.
